National Debt Clock runs out of numbers

The A.P. reports today that the National Debt Clock in Times Square has run out of digits.

At last check, the debt was up to $10,255,089,055,575.

Thanks Uncle Sam.

The operators of the sign, however, have cleverly turned the dollar sign into a one, buying us a few more years.

Of course, this may look bad, but it’s nothing compared to Zimbabwe, where inflation hit 231 million percent in July.

For a preview of what life will be like in Arizona if that happens here, you might want to head down to your local video store and rent a copy of Mad Max.

Just a thought.
